Joshua C. Nelson, D.O.

Dr Nelson grew up on the East Coast. But he soon traveled to the West. His interest in Neurology began at University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with a major in Neuro-biology. Following college, he entered Medical School in Kansas City and he has been through training programs from the East Coast to the West Coast including the Cleveland Clinic and Yale University since. Finally, he returned to Ohio to raise a family and to work for Licking Memorial Hospital.

Dr Nelson with Dr Abdelmessih founded Mid-Ohio Neurology in 2004, and they have been going serving the people of central Ohio ever since. Their office is located at 1916 Tamarack road in the brick buildings housing many other of Newark's doctors. At Mid-Ohio Neurology Dr Nelson sees adult neurology patients. He sees everything from simple headaches to complicated brain tumor patients. At the moment, he has particular interest in the many patients who have Alzheimer Disease, but sees all adult and some teenage neurology problems. Many procedures are done onsite at Mid-Ohio Neurology including EEG, EMG, Sudo Scan, and IV infusions for patients with multiple sclerosis or other tough problems. He knows how frightening a neurological problem can be. And he works hard to keep open emergency spots so that urgent patients can be seen without delay, sometimes the same day.
